​In this project, I document the daily life of slum dwellers whose lives depict a stark contrast to their affluent and opulent neighbours. These children carry dreams and aspirations of families that have spent a lifetime attempting to rise out of the penury and marginalisation of slums. However, unlike their more fortunate friends living in gated societies and highrises, these children have to strike a balance between education — their hope for a better future — and the daily chores they need to do in order to help their parents make ends meet.meet.
